Industry Type Configuration

The Industry Type Configuration feature in PrismERP helps businesses define the nature of their operations by categorizing them into specific industries. This configuration plays a vital role in customizing ERP modules, workflows, reports, and compliance requirements according to the needs of different sectors.

Key Features​

Create Custom Industry Types​

Define industries such as Manufacturing, Trading, Services, Retail, Agro, etc.

Integration with Module Behavior​

Tailor workflows (like inventory, production, sales) based on the selected industry.

Industry-wise Template Setup​

Enable default form templates, fields, and dashboards per industry.

Segmented Configuration​

Apply industry-specific policies, process flows, and terminology.

Usage Guide in PrismERP​

Click “Add New” to create a new industry type.

Enter Industry Information​

  • Name – e.g., "Manufacturing", "Retail", "Pharmaceutical", etc.
  • Code – Unique identifier for internal reference.
  • Description – Brief details about the industry's core operations.
  • Set default modules (e.g., enable production module for manufacturing).
  • Assign relevant document templates.
  • Tag users or branches under this industry if needed.

Save & Activate​

Click “Save” to finalize. The system will now apply relevant configurations where industry type is referenced (e.g., during company setup or business unit creation).
