The Production Order Release & Assignment process in PrismERP authorizes and schedules a production order for execution. Releasing the order confirms that materials, resources, and schedules are ready, while assignment delegates tasks to specific work centers, machines, or personnel, enabling effective production control and tracking.

Usage Guide in PrismERP

Access Production Orders

Navigate to Order List

Select Production Order to Release

  • Filter or search for orders in Pending or Draft status.
  • Select the production order to be released.

Review Order Details

  • Verify product, quantity, planned dates, BoM, routing, and material availability.
  • Check for any pending approvals if applicable.

Release Production Order

  • Click the “Release” button.
  • Confirm action to change order status to Released or Active.

Assign Resources

  • Assign Work Centers or Machines to the order.
  • Allocate Operators or Teams responsible for execution.
  • Adjust scheduled dates if necessary based on resource availability.

Confirm Material Reservations

  • Ensure raw materials are reserved or requisitioned.
  • Address any material shortages before production starts.

Save and Notify

  • Save the assignments.
  • Automated notifications will alert assigned personnel.

Monitor & Update

  • Track progress in real-time through dashboards.
  • Update status, record completed quantities, and log deviations.
