Production Scheduling

In PrismERP, Production Scheduling is used to define the sequence and timing of production activities within a production order. It determines when each process and step should start and finish based on the required production flow. The system uses the defined processes, steps, and their durations to organize the execution of a production order in a structured timeline.

Production scheduling works by calculating the timeline of each step either from the start date or from the target completion date. When scheduling is applied, the system assigns dates to each process step, ensuring that all operations are arranged in the correct sequence. This allows the production flow to be aligned with operational requirements and dependencies between steps.

Users can perform production scheduling directly from the Production Order List. By selecting a production order, users can apply scheduling using either forward sequence or backward sequence methods. The system then updates the schedule for each process and step within the order based on the selected method.
