Production Order Creation

The Production Order Creation process in PrismERP is the foundational step for initiating manufacturing activities. A production order specifies what products to make, the quantity, the timeline, and the resources required. It acts as the official authorization to start production and drives material allocation, scheduling, and tracking.

Usage Guide in PrismERP

Enter Production Order Details

  • Select Product/Item
  • Enter Quantity to produce
  • Choose Production Line / Work Center
  • Set Planned Start Date and Planned End Date
  • Add Priority or special instructions if applicable

Review Linked Data

  • Verify BoM automatically fetched for the product
  • Confirm Routing and operation details

Material Reservation

  • System suggests material requirements based on BoM
  • Reserve stock or create purchase requisitions for shortages

Save & Issue Production Order

  • Save the order with status Pending or Released
  • Notify production floor or responsible personnel

Monitor Progress

  • Track order status in the dashboard
  • Update progress, record completed quantities, and handle exceptions
