Purchase Delivery Return
In PrismERP, Purchase Delivery Return (PDR) records the return of products to a supplier after they have been received through a purchase delivery. This transaction updates stock levels by reducing the returned quantity from the selected branch and inventory location. Each return entry captures details such as the supplier, delivery date, related cancellation or sale order, and the quantity of products being returned. Users can navigate to the Purchase Delivery Return module, select the required branch and inventory location, and record the return by entering the relevant product and quantity details.
Add Purchase Delivery Return
| Field | Action |
|---|---|
| Branch | Select the branch where the purchase delivery return is recorded. |
| Party | Select the supplier or party associated with the return. |
| Inventory | Select the inventory location from which the products will be returned. |
| Delivery Date | Select the date when the return is processed. |
| Cancellation | Select the related cancellation entry if applicable. |

After a Purchase Delivery Return is added, it immediately appears in the Purchase Delivery Return List. Users can use the search panel to filter and locate a specific PDR. Each PDR has a status that reflects its current stage: Pending, Completed, Rejected, or Closed. Users can update the status at any point, and even edit a PDR after it has been closed if adjustments are needed. Once the return process is fully completed, the PDR can be marked as Closed to finalize it in the system. Purchase Delivery Return can also be sent to approval workflow.

Clicking on a PDR opens its Details Page, where information is organized in two views: General View for operational details such as delivery dates, quantities, branch, and party information, and Accountant View for ledger entries and financial tracking. From this page, users can generate reports such as delivery challans and other return documents, which can be viewed or downloaded in multiple formats.
