BOM Routing

BOM Routing helps define the process flow (routing) and resource requirements for producing a product. It integrates the bill of materials (BOM) with work centers, labor, machinery, and stages.

Add BOM Template​

Create reusable templates for BOMs that include:

  • Material list
  • Routing stages (Cutting, Assembling, Packing, etc.)
  • Estimated output, wastage
  • Labor and machinery involvement

BOM Template List​

  • View and manage all existing BOM templates
  • Option to edit, or deactivate templates
  • Helps standardize production planning across similar products

Add BOM​

Assign BOM template or create new BOM for specific products. Define:

  • Product
  • Material requirements
  • Routing steps
  • Work centers and stage durations

BOM List​

  • Master list of all BOMs created
  • Searchable by product, template, or revision
  • Track active/inactive BOMs for version control

BOM Pre-Costing in PrismERP​

Pre-Costing helps estimate production cost before manufacturing begins, aiding pricing and profitability analysis.

Add Pre-Costing​

Calculate estimated cost of production based on:

  • BOM material cost
  • Labor and machine cost
  • Overhead and wastage percentage

Helps with quote preparation or feasibility analysis.

Pre-Costing List​

  • View history of all pre-costing entries
  • Compare different versions
  • Helps in analyzing margin and cost impact before confirming production
