Routing Configuration

The Routing Configuration module in PrismERP defines the sequence of operations, work centers, and resources required to manufacture a product. It outlines the step-by-step process flow from raw material to finished goods, enabling efficient production scheduling, resource allocation, and process tracking.

  • Operation Sequencing Define the order of production operations.

  • Work Center Assignment Link each operation to specific work centers or machines.

  • Time Standards Set standard time durations (SMV) for each operation.

  • Resource Allocation Assign labor or equipment resources to operations.

  • Parallel & Sequential Processes Support complex routing with parallel or dependent operations.

  • Setup & Run Times Capture setup times and run times per operation.

  • Integration with BoM & Production Orders Automatically pull routing during production planning.

  • Routing Reports Generate detailed operation sheets and efficiency analysis.


Usage Guide in PrismERP

Access Routing Configuration

Navigate to Routing Setup

Create New Routing

  • Click “Add New Routing”
  • Enter:
    • Routing Name
    • Routing Code
    • Associated Product/Item

Define Operations

  • Add operations in sequence:
    • Specify Operation Name (e.g., Cutting, Welding)
    • Assign Work Center or Machine
    • Set Standard Time (SMV or minutes)
    • Add Setup Time (if applicable)
    • Assign Labor or Equipment Resources

Set Operation Dependencies (if any)

  • Define whether operations are sequential or parallel
  • Set predecessor and successor operations accordingly

Save & Activate

  • Save the routing configuration
  • Link routing to production orders or BoM for job planning

Reporting & Monitoring

  • Use routing reports to monitor:
    • Operation status
    • Time taken
    • Efficiency metrics
