Attendance Device Active/Inactive
The Attendance Device List in PrismERP displays all registered attendance devices along with their current status and configuration details. This helps administrators monitor, manage, and troubleshoot attendance hardware effectively.
Device List Column Breakdown
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Sequential identifier or label for the device |
| Device Type | Manufacturer and model (e.g., ZKTeco F18, Suprema BioLite) |
| Machine ID | Unique identifier for the device (currently shows "None" if unconfigured) |
| Device IP | Network IP address (e.g., 192.168.0.12) |
| Status | Operational state (e.g., "Active", "Inactive") |
| Action | Edit option for modifying device settings |

- Active devices must have a valid IP address to communicate with the system.
- The Machine ID field should contain a unique identifier for tracking and integration.
- Deactivating a device prevents it from recording new attendance data but does not delete existing records.
Troubleshooting Guide
If a device appears as Active but is not functioning properly:
-
Verify the IP Address Ensure the IP is correct and reachable on the network.
-
Check Machine ID Confirm that the Machine ID is configured and matches system expectations.
-
Validate Device Type Make sure the selected device type corresponds with the actual hardware model.
-
Reactivate Device Try deactivating and reactivating the device to reset its connection state.
Configuration Reminder
Devices showing “None” in critical fields such as Machine ID or Device IP must be properly configured to ensure reliable operation and accurate attendance logging.
