The Report Viewer in PrismERP provides users with a seamless way to view and interact with dynamic reports generated through BIRT (Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools) — directly within the ERP interface. It offers real-time insights, interactive controls, and powerful layout customization, all from within the PrismERP ecosystem.

Instantly preview the report and print it directly from the ERP with preserved layout and formatting.

Email Reports as PDF​

Send reports via email as PDF attachments using the built-in Email button — directly from the ERP interface.

Layout Configuration Options​

The Layout Configuration panel provides complete control over the appearance of your report output. This feature is ideal for customizing professional documents, client-ready outputs, and regulatory reports — all inside PrismERP.

Available Layout Options:​

Page Setup​

  • Set paper size (A4, Letter, etc.)
  • Choose orientation: Portrait or Landscape
  • Configure scaling and alignment

Margin Setup​

  • Define custom top, bottom, left, and right margins
  • Set unit preferences (mm/inches) for precise control

Header & Footer Setup​

  • Add custom text, images (e.g., logos, branding), and dynamic fields (date/time, page numbers)
  • Configure header/footer margin spacing to control visual separation from content
  • Upload images or use predefined company assets from PrismERP media settings

Signature Setup​

  • Insert predefined signature blocks from workflow configurations
  • Allow manual signature layout setup by user
  • Position signatures at the end of the report based on layout logic

Steps to Manage the Report Viewer in PrismERP​

  1. Navigate to the desired report in the Reports Section
  2. Apply filters or parameters to refine the data
  3. Click "View Report" to open it in the embedded viewer
  4. Use toolbar options to:
    • Preview and Print
    • Download to any supported file format
    • Email the report as a PDF
    • Layout Configuration to adjust page, margin, header/footer, and signature settings
