PrismERP’s Serial Wise Asset Upload feature is designed to support structured and sequential asset registration. This functionality allows users to upload multiple assets individually while maintaining a predefined serial order—ensuring accurate tracking, consistent labeling, and easy future reference.

What is Serial Wise Asset Upload?​

Serial Wise Asset Upload refers to the process of adding assets to the system one at a time while preserving their sequential serial numbering. It is ideal for scenarios where each asset must be registered with a distinct serial number and tracked separately for depreciation, assignment, and maintenance.

  • Step-by-Step Asset Entry Upload assets individually while maintaining a logical, serial-based order.

  • Predefined Serial Number Input Input or select serial numbers during the upload process to ensure order and uniqueness.

  • Template-Based Upload Option Use structured templates to prepare asset upload files for systematic processing.

  • Serial Validation System checks for duplicate or missing serial numbers before completing the upload.

  • Detailed Asset Attributes Each uploaded asset includes:

    • Asset Category and Item

How to Use​

  1. Navigate to Asset Add Serial-Wise Asset or Asset → Upload Asset (Serial Wise)

  2. Fill in required fields:

    • Asset Category
    • Item
    • Serial Number (manually or from a template)
    • Quantity (default 1)
    • Unit Cost
    • Dates (Purchase/Delivery)
    • Branch/Department

  3. Submit and repeat for next asset in the serial sequence.

  4. Verify entries in the Asset Item List or Serial Wise Report.
