Approval Rules

Approval Rules define how the assigned approvers participate in an approval event and what conditions must be met before the document can proceed to the next stage. Depending on the organization's requirements, users can select different approval rules to determine whether approval from any one approver is sufficient, whether all approvers must follow a specific sequence, or whether a particular approver's approval is mandatory.

PrismERP provides the following approval rules:

Approval RuleDescription
Any (X)Approval from any one of the assigned approvers is sufficient to complete the event. Once one approver provides approval, the document can proceed to the next stage without requiring approval from the remaining approvers.
SequenceApprovers must complete the approval process in a predefined order. Each approver receives the document for approval only after the previous approver has completed their action.
X with MandatoryA designated approver must provide approval, while approval from the other assigned approvers is optional. The event can proceed once the mandatory approver approves the document, regardless of whether the optional approvers have completed their approval.
