Cost Center Category
In PrismERP, a Center can be assigned a category to define the type of center being maintained. The Category is selected separately from the Type when creating a new center.
The available categories are:

| Cost Center | Used to associate expenses and costs with a specific department, unit, or operational area. |
| Revenue Center | Used to identify a center responsible for generating revenue. |
| Profit Center | Used to track the financial performance of a specific center based on its revenue and expenses. |
| Investment Center | Used to identify a center where both financial performance and investment-related activities are tracked. |
| Responsibility Center | Used to identify a business unit or area for which specific financial or operational responsibilities are assigned. |
The selected category is displayed in the Center Information of the respective center and can be used to classify centers according to their financial or organizational purpose.
