Leave Carry Forward Process
The Leave Carry Forward (CF) feature in PrismERP allows employees to retain their unused leave days and use them in future years based on organization policy. It provides configuration for carryforward percentage, validity period, and capping the maximum number of days that can be carried forward per year or overall.
Key Features
- Select Leave Types for CF (e.g., Earned Leave, Encashable Leave)
- Carry Forward by Percentage (e.g., 100% of unused leaves)
- Yearly Cap for CF (e.g., max 18 days from a year)
- Overall Leave Balance Cap (e.g., max 60 days total carryforward)
- Validity Period Control (optional – define how long carried leaves stay valid)
- Multi-tier Configuration (up to two types can be defined separately)
How to Use This Feature in PrismERP
Configuration Steps:
Enable Carry Forward Checkbox
- Tick the Carry Forward option to activate the feature.
Select Leave Types
- Use the dropdown to choose which leave type(s) apply (e.g., Leave and Encashment).
Set Carry Forward %
- Define what percentage of unused leaves can be carried forward (e.g., 100%).
Configure Limits
- Max CF: Maximum days that can be carried forward per year (e.g., 18 days)
- Max CF Balance: Total cap of carried-forward days (e.g., 60 days)
Set Validity (Optional)
- Define how long the carried-forward days remain valid (e.g., 365 days)
Configure Additional Rule (Optional)
- You can define a second rule for a different leave type.
