Territory Setup
The Territory Setup in PrismERP is used to define and maintain the organizational territory structure used for sales operations, employee assignments, route management, and customer mapping. The setup begins with Territory Types, where different hierarchy levels such as Nation, Zone, Region, Area, or Territory are defined. These hierarchy levels determine how territories are arranged within the system and establish the framework for the overall territory structure.
After Territory Types are configured, Territory Areas are created under the appropriate hierarchy levels. Territory Areas represent the actual operational locations or geographical regions used by the organization. Each territory area is linked to a parent territory area, creating a complete parent-child hierarchy from the highest organizational level down to the operational territory level. This structure is used throughout the sales and distribution process for assigning employees, routes, and customers to specific territories.
